Pursuant to Ministerial Decree No. (1) issued on 13 April 2026, and Procedures Appendix No. (H.W.A/1), the Authority said the decision reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening partnership and coordination with all humanitarian actors, in light of the positive engagement demonstrated by organizations throughout the registration process.

NAHA stated that the extension comes in response to constructive and continuous consultations with humanitarian partners, and is intended to provide additional time for the completion of technical and administrative procedures in a smooth and orderly manner. The Authority emphasized that the measure is designed to enhance the effectiveness and organization of humanitarian work, while ensuring the uninterrupted flow of aid and essential services to affected populations.

The Authority urged organizations that have not yet finalized their registration and accreditation requirements to continue working closely with the relevant technical teams during the extended period, in order to ensure continuity of their operations and compliance with the approved regulatory framework.

It further noted that so far, 36 international organizations out of 43 operating entities have completed the required procedures, alongside approximately 138 national organizations working within the humanitarian framework under the Peace Government, describing this level of compliance as a positive indicator of strong engagement with the process.

NAHA also praised the constructive dialogue and mutual understanding with donor countries and international partners, stating that this cooperation has helped reinforce shared objectives aimed at improving the humanitarian operating environment and facilitating the work of aid organizations in support of vulnerable communities.

The Authority extended its appreciation to the Sudan Agency for Relief and Humanitarian Operations (SARHO), its staff, and all contributing institutions for their efforts in supporting and facilitating the implementation of the procedures in a responsible and cooperative manner.

It concluded by reaffirming its commitment to advancing humanitarian work in Sudan and ensuring that all efforts remain focused on serving citizens affected by ongoing humanitarian conditions.
